Information on data protection
The collection, processing and use of your personal data in connection with your visit to our home page enjoy particular protection. Your data is subject to protection by the provisions of the law. Collection and processing of data
A record is kept every time our Internet presentation is accessed and of every download of the information available there. The storage of this data serves internal systems-related and statistical purposes. The following data is recorded: the name of the file visited, the date and time of the visit, the volume of data transferred, a report on a successful visit, the Internet browser and the domain from which information is sought. In addition, the IP addresses of the computer seeking information are recorded. Any additional personal data recorded is optional should this information be provided voluntarily. Example: in connection with an enquiry or registration. You are entitled to object to this data being stored.

Use and disclosure of this data to others
Any personal data you may have provided will only be used in order to deal with your enquiries (e.g. ordering brochures, subscription to press releases etc.), to process contracts concluded with you and for purposes of technical administration. Should the opportunity arise to enter personal or business data during this Internet presentation (e-mail addresses, names, addresses), the user’s disclosure of this information is expressly voluntary. As far as technically possible and reasonable, all services offered may be used and paid for without the disclosure of such data or by providing data in an anonymised form or by the use of a pseudonym.

Registration
Registration and login for the login section of the "Automotive Quality Alliance" are free of charge and can be requested via the online form on the website or via the contact form. You can unsubscribe informally at any time and without any deadline. The cancellation of registration has to be sent in writing to quality-alliance@vda-qmc.de

Newsletter
We use the newsletter to provide you with information on ourselves and on our offers as well as issues connected with the “Automotive Quality Alliance“. Should you like to receive the newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address from you as well as information to enable us to check that you are the owner of the e-mail address stated or that its owner consents to receiving the newsletter. No further data is recorded. This information is used solely to distribute the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. On registering for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of the registration. Storing this data serves only as evidence should a third party misuse an e-mail address and register receipt of the newsletter without the knowledge of the rightful owner. You may at any time cancel your consent to the storage of the data and the e-mail address as well as its use in order to distribute the newsletter. This cancellation may be made via a link in the newsletter itself, in your profile area or by notification through the possible ways to make contact shown above.

Right to information
On your written request, we will be glad to inform you of the data stored on you.

Note on security
We endeavour through the use of all technical and organisational opportunities to store your personnel information in such a way that it is not accessible to third parties. We are however unable to guarantee absolute data security should this data be transmitted by e-mail so that we recommend that confidential information should be sent by post.
